Video Production for Businesses
If you don’t have long, meaningful conversations with a production company about your brand, your videos won’t represent you as well as they should. My first job is always to get to know what makes your company unique – what do your clients need to know about you, and what’s the most enticing way to convey that in a video? I’m the point person from start to finish on every project, as well as the director and primary cameraman and editor, which keeps the branding message consistent.
My services for businesses are designed around three key strengths.
I work within your system to create the type of video you need. I create a range of marketing and advertising videos, from TV commercials to web-based “who we are” videos, industrial and training videos, event capture, and more. Some companies approach me with a script drafted by their marketing department or an agency or PR firm. Other companies approach me without any video experience and want a partner from the first steps of the concept stage. I join your team at whatever stage you’re at and learn your goals for the video, then tailor my services toward that end.
Every video is custom-made by me, based on your company’s unique identity and needs. There is no committee for your project to get lost in, and no chance of it being forced into a forumlaic mold. My focus as a craftsman is to make every project I work on great. I will also accept “very cool” or “awesome.” I use only high-end equipment, including quality 35mm-sensor video cameras that deliver the beautiful look of Hollywood films. You can trust that the look and sound of your video will represent you with professional style
Most production companies have a full-time staff of 3-15 people, with associated overhead costs. They’re designed to handle larger budget productions ($100,000+), many productions at once, or a range of other media services (print, web, design, etc.). This model works well for those needs, and in fact I often shoot projects for these companies. However, I’ve chosen a very different business model for Image Generation. I’m a one-person business with extremely low overhead and a focus on mid-range budget projects, mostly $3000-$30,0000. I handle most productions solo or with one assistant, and for larger projects I hire trusted peers to work with me. The core idea is that every project is built using only the people and resources needed, with no excess of staff, time, or your money. I only take on a few projects at a time, which means I’m focused on your needs and creating quality projects cost-effectively.
Below are two projects I’ve made. Please go to my work samples page to see more examples.
